Interested in saving money for your home improvements?
If you are the owner of a house that is listed in the State and National Registers of Historic Places individually or as a contributing to a listed/certified historic district AND it is located in an eligible census tract, you may qualify for a state historic tax credit equal to 20% of the repair costs!
The State Historic Homeowner Tax Credit (SHORTC) program uses a 3-part application to provide homeowners incentives for their rehab projects.
CBCA is an expert leader in preparing Historic Preservation Tax Credit applications and achieving approvals. We work with owners, the City, the State Historic Preservation Office, and the National Park Service for an efficient process for projects like yours that renew historic buildings.
Whether it is a single family home, condo, or co-op, we are here to guide you through the process and provide our expertise for your project.
In addition to mutli-family residences such as the Park Lane, Campanille, 1088 Delaware, 800 West Ferry, and St. Mary’s Condos, we’ve succesfully completed SHORTC applications for owners on Saybrook, Bidwell, Ashland, Chapin and more!
